What are Smart Devices?

A smart device is an electronic product that can connect to the Internet or can interact with other products through a network or Wi-Fi connection. Smart devices are increasingly common in our daily lives. Well known examples of this are smartphones or smartwatches, but also think of smart TVs or smart thermostats. A smart device differs from a traditional device, as it can often do more than its conventional counterpart. For example, a smartwatch can not only tell the time, but also track how many steps you have taken or measure your heart rate, and share this information with your smartphone.
